Profile: I’m “Mingya Kuang Scholar”, Distinguished Professor in Jilin University, and Professor in School of Law of Jilin University as well as in National Collaborative Innovation Centre of Judicial Civilization. I’m also the academic leader of Procedural Law Discipline in JLU and now a Chief Expert in National Social Science Fund Major Project. I began to work in JLU in 1989 when I got the Master of Law Degree in School of Law in JLU. In 1986 and 2001 I had my Bachelor of Law and PhD of Law Degree respectively. I used to serve in part time as Assistant President of Changchun Intermediate People's Court in 2005. I did research as a Senior Visiting Scholar in Yale University (USA) in 2009. I also had academic visits to Hong Kong Bar Association, Erasmus University (Netherlands), and New York University (USA). I am a standing member of China Association of Criminal Procedure Law and a member of Criminal Defence Professional Committee. I am the current President of Criminal Procedural Law Society in Jilin Province.
